About Me
My name is Brandi Page. I am the Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLP Assistant) for Butler Intermediate. I graduated from Texas Woman's University in 2005 with a Bachelors of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. As an SLP Assistant I provide Speech Therapy for students at Butler. This will be my 19th year as an SLP Assistant and 15th year at Quinlan ISD.
I grew up in Grand Prairie and moved to the Quinlan area after college. I have been married for 18 years and have 2 girls ages 13 and 16 that have attended school in Quinlan ISD since Kindergarten. I enjoy watching the NFL and I am a Packers fan by choice and a Cowboys fan by my raising. We have 2 cats, Katniss & Bubba, and a big dog named Beau.
My "WHY" for going into the Speech Therapy field is my youngest little brother, Michael. He was born with some health issues and required a feeding tube (Mic-Key button, G-tube). He received Speech Therapy for feeding, mainly, and for a slight delay in talking. He was able to have his feeding tube removed when he was 8 years old, just before being the ring bearer in our wedding.
I am excited for this year and look forward to seeing my former students and meeting my new students.
I do not have a specific conference time. If you have any questions feel free to email me at [email protected] and I will get back to you by the end of the next day.
My state SLP Assistant license does require me to have a Supervisor who has a Masters degree. I have one and I follow her direction relating to what Speech goals that the students need to work on.
