Principal's Message

Welcome Back A.E. Butler Intermediate School

Students and Families!

Dear Butler Intermediate Family,

I am very excited to welcome you back for the 2020-2021 school year.  I am honored to be joining the Butler family as the new campus Principal.  This will be my sixth year as an administrator and my fifteenth year in education. Being a part of helping students grow not only academically, but socially and emotionally, as well, is my passion. This year may look a little different than it has before, but with everyone working together, our students will have a successful school year!

This year's district theme is Better Together...2.0. Our theme from last year is carrying forward to this year because it perfectly describes our community; parents, teachers, students, administrators, school board members, and community members all coming together for the betterment of our students.  At Butler, we will provide opportunities for students to develop their leadership abilities within the school so they will later become leaders who make a difference and give back to our community.

Whether you made the decision to send your child to school for face-to-face instruction or have them participate in online instruction at home, they will receive rich, meaningful, rigorous instruction from their teachers. For students at school, we will continue to send home the weekly Panther Folder to communicate your child’s behavior/work habits throughout the week. Please make sure to check your child’s Panther Folder each Thursday, as there will be a weekly newsletter in there to help keep you informed of any important school information.

Please do not hesitate to call with any questions or concerns.  We welcome your feedback and appreciate your support. We are looking forward to a great school year.

Sincerely,

Jennifer Bruton

Butler Intermediate Principal
