Principal's Message

Welcome Back A.E. Butler Intermediate School

Students and Families!

Dear Butler Intermediate Family,

I am very excited to welcome you back for the 2023-2024 school year.  I am honored to be a part of the Butler family as the campus Principal. I attended A&M University in Commerce where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Elementary Education. I also earned my Master's Degree in Educational Administration from A&M University in Commerce, as well. This will be my ninth year as an administrator and my eighteenth year in education. Being a part of helping students grow not only academically, but socially and emotionally, as well, is my passion. I am looking forward to working together and watching our students have a successful school year!

This year's district theme is QISD Panthers...Stronger Together. Our theme perfectly describes our community, parents, teachers, students, administrators, school board members, and community members all coming together for the betterment of our students.  At Butler, we will provide opportunities for students to develop their leadership abilities within the school so they will later become leaders who make a difference and give back to our community. 

Our students will receive rich, meaningful, rigorous instruction from their teachers. Teachers send home our weekly communication folder that is also known as the weekly Panther Folder to communicate your child’s behavior/work habits throughout the week. Please make sure to check your child’s Panther Folder each Wednesday, as there will be a weekly newsletter in there to help keep you informed of any important school information.
