School Profile
A.E. Butler Intermediate School is a part of Quinlan Independent School District located in Quinlan, Texas and Hunt County. We serve a 3rd through 5th grade student population of approximately 670 students. Our instructional programs reflect the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills curriculum adopted by the State of Texas.
The current faculty is made up of 49 certified teachers and 20 support staff made up of both professionals and paraprofessionals. The school’s administration is composed of a principal, two assistant principals, a counselor, and a full-time registered nurse.
Quinlan ISD offers an after school program. This program serves our students until 5:45 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Students staying for the QISD Afterschool Program receive a full dinner and a snack and have the opportunity to participate in exciting enrichment activities such as karate, art, gardening, and much more. Students who attend the afterschool program at least two days a week are eligible to attend our QISD Friday program from 7:30-4:15 p.m.
