WELCOME!!!!!

My name is Christy Walker. This will be my 31st year teaching with experience with PK-12th in various subject areas. After graduating from Quinlan Ford in 1984, I set off for college, marriage, and a family. Once I received my BA in Elementary Education/ Early Childhood I returned to Quinlan teaching at D. C. Cannon for 9 years. I then moved to a new district (Cumby ISD) with new challenges. This district provided me with many opportunities to teach many different subject areas in my 15 years. Life needed a change so I ventured off to Yantis ISD where I taught 5th grade RLA/SS for 5 years. As COVID started and demands from TEA became more tedious I felt it was time to retire. Two years later, here I am back at Quinlan ISD. I am excited to be back in teaching and for the new school year.

 

My Family:

I have 2 sons, one is 27 and the other is 32. I have a great husband who is very supportive of of me. I have two loving dogs at home. One is a Lab Mix named Nala and a 6 lb. Chihuahua  named Bailey. Nala is 6 years old and Bailey 4 1/2 months old. 

 

My History: I was raised by a Teacher mom and Dallas Police Officer dad. They both taught me how to love, care and respect all human beings. They have since passed. I have 1 sister 9 years older than me. She is my rock. I have 1 niece and 1 nephew, 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews. It's all about family when I am home.
