Welcome

I am so excited to be teaching at Butler Intermediate.  Hello, I am Dena Poteet, the reading interventionist.  I grew up in Quinlan and graduated from a neighboring district.  I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees at Texas A&M University Commerce.  This is my twentieth year in education.  I have taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grades and was a campus administrator for six years.  I have been married for twenty-seven years and have two college-aged children.  My family loves adventures, especially ones that contain water.  You may even find us fishing or tubing on Lake Tawakoni.  I am thrilled to be a part of your child's education and to help them grow academically.
