Welcome to Life Skills!

Hello! I am so excited to be joining Butler Intermediate as a Self Contained Special Education teacher. My name is Melanie Dutton and I have been teaching for 20 years. I grew up in Campbell, TX and went to school in Commerce all of my life.  I graduated from Texas A&M Commerce and began teaching in Royse City ISD.  I have been married to Jeremy for 29 years and have a 24 year old daughter, Makenna.

I enjoy going to the beach and river.  I love to travel, go camping, and riding side by sides.

I look forward to working with your child this coming year!
