About Me

Hi there! I’m so excited to be teaching 5th grade math this year at Butler Intermediate. This is the beginning of my 25th year in education, and I’m thrilled to bring my experience and passion for teaching to the district that raised me.

Though this is my first year teaching in Quinlan ISD, this town is truly home. I grew up here, graduated from Quinlan schools, and have lived here most of my life. Being back in the same community that helped shape who I am is an incredible honor, and I’m committed to giving back by helping students grow in both confidence and mathematical thinking.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Texas A&M University–Commerce, and later completed my Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at Lamar University. Over the years, I’ve taught various grade levels and served in multiple leadership roles, but my heart has always stayed in the classroom.

I believe in building strong relationships, creating a positive learning environment, and making math meaningful and fun for every learner. I’m looking forward to a fantastic school year full of growth, discovery, and success!
