5th Grade Math!!!

Hello! I'm Evan Manskey and I'm teaching 5th grade Math this year! This is my 10th year to teach Math and my fifth year in Quinlan ISD. I graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station. GIG EM AGGIES!

We've got a lot to learn this year and I'm excited to watch your child grow mathematically.

One of the most important things you can give you child is the opportunity to work with numbers at home. When you are counting money, baking in the kitchen, or measuring wood for a project invite your child into a conversation about what you are doing! You can help your child gain exposure and confidence with numbers in the smallest ways and they do REALLY ADD UP! ;)

In 5th grade, mastery of multiplication facts is critical for success. There are many online games and apps that can help with this or you can use good ole' flashcards. However you choose, please practice with your child until the answers come naturally to him or her. 6 x 7 = ?
